Woyura World

Woyura is not a backpack brand. We are a social transformation movement through ancestral weaving.

We are born from the mysticism of Wayuu knowledge, where the past is magical and each stitch tells a thousand-year-old story. We are the bridge between our grandmothers’ wisdom and the sophistication of the contemporary world.

Led by Erika Fernández, a woman of Wayuu lineage, we transform heritage into living threads, knowledge into conscious luxury, tradition into a silent revolution for every woman who creates one of our backpacks with her hands.

We revive and preserve knowledge because we understand the sacred power of weaving in Wayuu culture: it is living memory, a meeting place and community building, a repository of the deepest feminine feelings.
We create economic independence, not dependencies, because everything is born and created from Guajiro territory, in woman-to-woman conversations, without intermediaries, with fair payment for excellence.
We work hard with 120 Wayuu weavers so they have time and resources to refine their techniques and thus elevate Colombian craftsmanship to the highest global standards. We believe that ancestral technique is the new luxury of the 21st century.
We respect sacred times because each knot tells a story and haste kills the magic.

our cultural mission

We educate about the invaluable value of Wayuu weaving so it is honored, protected, and globally recognized.

We defend denomination of origin certifications and teach how to differentiate a common backpack from one that had fair payment.

We show how handmade with history is true contemporary luxury.

We transform the perception of the Wayuu backpack: from a folklore accessory to a high-end piece for formal settings.

Our Legacy

In every Woyura lives the conversation between generations, the encounter between worlds. We are heritage that becomes alive. We are the future woven with ancestral wisdom.
